Michael Lerner is the former Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Safety 1st, Inc., a consumer products company within the Juvenile Products Category. Beginning as a one product introduction, Safety 1st grew to become one of the strongest brands in Juvenile within the U.S. with over 250 products and competing in 14 core categories.
Safety 1st was known as an innovator in the industry with new and value added features in each category with 7 #1 market share positions and 7 #2 market share positions and exported its products to over 50 countries.
Michael ran Safety 1st as a private company for 9 years and then took the company public, running as a public company under NASDAQ for 7 years where Michael sold Safety 1st in the year 2000 after being approached by 2 strategic buyers.
Michael sits on 2 Advisory Boards at Brigham Woman’s Hospital, Boston and has been on Boards for Real Estate and Tech business.
